Party in the Park

On May Day this year, Year 4 sold items to the rest of the school (read about it on this blog post).

Today with all the profit we made from our selling, we had a fun day out along with 4.1 and 4.2. We went to our local park and then visited Blakesley Hall where Wisey, our school owl for The Big Hoot is displayed.

Have a look!

Our day started off with Mr Garcia's balancing skills!

Then we made our way to Queen's Park

Arriving

Poses before the games begin

Zunaira's ready for fun

Some children headed onto the park apparatus whilst others played sports games on the field

Sliding with style

Courtney was the undefeated balancer on the spring bridge
There were many highlights to the day, not to mention the time Zunaira got stuck in the toddler swing!

And when Emmanouil was banished to park prison!

Everyone loved the spring seat!

Tom is looking as cool as a cucumber!

With her new found freedom, Zunaira headed towards more fun games!

After playing, we then left to visit Blakesley..

Photobomb: Zunaira

We loved this Tudor tapestry in the reception, it reminded us of  our Tudor banquet.

We finally got to see Wisey. We miss having him at our school :(

Then we went to the beautiful gardens...

Chillin'

...before heading back to Queen's for Fish and Chips. What a treat!

Followed by an extra treat. Thanks for the surprise Mrs Porter!

What a perfect way to end the school year, we hope we have another trip like this next year!

Sports Day 2k15

It's that time of the year again. We have all been looking forward to sports day, especially since Mr Garcia has arrived and has made P.E so fun and exciting. This year was the best sports day yet. The weather was perfect and we had so many events to take part in.
Have a look at 4.3's 2015 sports day pictures!

The day hadn't even begun and Tegan was already thirsty!

Zunaira is rearing to go!

Yellow team warming up on the tires

Emmanouil is very optimistic

Josh has won the cup!....(Just kidding...he wishes!)

Our first activity was counting how many continuous jumps
we could do over the barrier

Go Soph!

Fancy footwork, Kyle!

Tegan is in the zone!
Next up we had to throw foam darts and see who could throw the furthest. Samama was by far the best in 4.3. Well done, Samama, you're a natural!

Activity 3 was a balancing act.

Looking good, Zunaira!
After balancing, we had to knock over as many blocks as we could.

Great shot, Soph!
Shaya was serving butterfly realness and managed to keep the pattern throughout
the whole day!

Libby kept sneaking off for some refreshment under the gazebo.
It was a scorcher of a day!

A quick pose before the day goes on..
Next up basket shots...

...and long jumps!
Our best long jumper was Darren, who easily managed to leap a whole metre each time.
Well done, Daz!

We had great fun doing the sack races!

A special mention to Mr Fletcher who helped make our sports day fantastic!

Finally, all of KS2 participated in a relay!

Ibrahim gearing himself up for the big finale.

Well done to Courage for winning the sports day cup. 4.3's children in this house were:

Samama
Shenae
Jessica
Darren
William
Gareth
&
Troy

Congratulations, your gold medals were all well-deserved. Everyone else, there's always next year!

Reppin' at The Rep

For the past few weeks, year 4 have been practising songs in preparation for The Pilot Partnership performance. Our school, along with several others finally got to perform today at The Rep.
Have a look at some pictures from today!
Heading to the Rep. You can't blame us for the grey sky, we haven't sung yet

Oh, dear! Adam Khan from 4.2 looks tired already and we haven't even performed!

Smiles all round ^.^

Faye definitely looks singing-ready

We finally arrive at The Rep!

*excited*

The theatre was very big and impressive

We got to see all the other school's performances before it was our turn.

Here is us on stage, we were the biggest (and best) act of the day and sang beautifully.

Part of our performance included all the different things which help us find our voice (the theme of the show). Some of them included dancing, kick boxing, football and brownies! We're a talented and diverse bunch here in 4.3

Cheeeeese!

Before the performance....
...and after.

Tegan needs a Red Bull!

After a super day out and some signature poses from the girls, we headed back to school.

Whilst we were performing, lucky children involved in The Big Hoot (including 4.3's very own Kechia) went around Birmingham on an open top bus looking for all the different owlets. Kechia and the others even made it on The Birmingham Mail, have a look here! You can also watch ITV News's correspondence of the event here on our school's Big Hoot blog.

*Stars* of the week 03/07

We can't believe its July already and the end of another week here in 4.3! The end is near but we're still not slacking. Have a look at this weeks super spelling achievers.

Well done, Faye for making glorious progress by upping her score by 7 points in a week!

Libby has made it to both lists for her brilliant spellings. Well done, keep it up!

A special Happy Birthday shout out to Sophie Naven who turned 9 today and treated us all to an adorable minion cake. Have a look!

Smiles all round...

...but not for long X_X

Thanks, Sophie!

Finally, well done 4.3 for raising £23 in our non uniform day collection.

Have a super weekend!
