Eclipse-Mania!

We've all gone a bit eclipse-crazy here at The Oval! This morning, our class and the rest of the entire school had the chance to look at the solar eclipse from our playground! We had to wear dark glasses to protect our eyes from the sun. The eclipse happened because the moon is directly between the sun and earth, so it casts a shadow. We saw this shadow through our super cool solar shades. Take a look!

We knew all about what an eclipse is, not only because of our fantastic science lesson but because yesterday we were lucky enough to have a visit from the Planetarium, where we learnt all about  our world, the stars and other planets.
